Search index updated, will update weekly.

Search on RationalWiki uses Lucene. The Lucene index hadn't actually updated since July 2012 - because incremental updating didn't work, because Trent had to disable the OAIRepository extension because it was breaking other stuff.

A complete reindex (we're currently around 86,000 pages total) takes 20-30 minutes, so David's set it to run one of those weekly. This is not ideal, but is a vast improvement.

Fixing it properly will require fixing OAIRepository, and possibly even writing documentation that doesn't have a big red warning saying it's completely wrong. Anyone feeling inspired?

  1. When I tried to make an account I got the same crap incorrect or missing confirmation code, every time. How many brackets are there, in our logo? 4! I tried the number and the spelling four! What's this wiki's name? Rational or RationalWiki?!?! What's the first and last letter in our name (under the logo)? If you consider wiki part of your name then RI and if it's just Rational then RL. I tried both! If I have to go through all this trouble to sign up it's not worth it. Where is some contact email to help people out? You could at least have that. All I want to do is fix the scripture on http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Science_Confirms_the_Bible Isaiah 40:23 to Isaiah 40:22, which is the correct verse for it!
